My latest favourite is Creative - Leon Jackson.

I listened to a few others of his and didn't like any of them - but this one, wow! As good as Bobby Darin and Michael Buble, I reckon. Needs to be slowed by 1% though.

Yes, this is a recent fave of mine. I wouldn't say it needs slowing down though.

Okay John, seeing as you asked nicely. Laughing
Here are a few of my favourites/floorfillers from the last year.

Sunshine in the Rain - BWO
Cry for You - September (both great cheesy pop!)

Another Day - Jamie Lidell (shades of a young Stevie Wonder)

Mess O' Blues - Jeff Healey
Matchbox - Jonny Lang (sublime bluesy floorfillers)

When You Touch Me - Freemasons feat. Katherine Ellis
You Can Get It - Mark Medlock (feelgood pop)

Make Love - Joe Cang (will be in my set for a long time!)
Moondance - Clare Teal (excellent version with a superb piano solo, my thanks to DJ Dave Colebrook of Dance E11even for this one!)

Good to see what other people like - I'm always looking for new tunes to play so keep them coming!
Thanks

Thanks, Andy.

Some good ones there. I just heard of Joe Cang. Nice. I'll look out for the Moondance one.

Wasn't too keen on the Mark Medlock one but like his "Summer Love" better.

Just found some good Candye Kane ones. e.g. You Need A Great Big Woman and That Ain't It.

Some other favourites of mine :

Jennifer Hudson - Spotlight (quite slow)
Jive Aces - Long Distant Love Affair ( also slow)
Bill Pinkney - Gonna Move Across The River
Eugene Bridges - Movin' and a Groovin'
Amy Stewart - Knock On Wood
Solange Knowles - I Decided
June Christy(?) - Rock Me To Sleep
Dana Gillepie - Pencil Thin Papa
Lavay Smith and Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers - Big Fine Daddy
Johnnie Johnson Band - Tanqueray

I hope that helps.. Smile

Well after having to re-register after changing my email address on my profile to find I then could'nt log in aaaaaaaaannnnnnnddddddddd going into the FAQ's to rectify the problem and following the guidelines.. with no success.. aaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnddddddd then reporting the problem to the Administrator.with no reply?? Hence my new name: 'Couldnt log in Dizzybee' I can now reply to your response on the music...

Its a case of preference I think.. Don't you?? I love to dance even if it be in my lounge Rolling Eyes Ive listened to some of the music on the recommended sites for good music and I think not only do we all have music preferences.. We also have different comfort zones of what we can dance to and not dance to.. Me.. I'll dance to anything, quick or slow as long as I like the beat Laughing

I will send you the next batch soon... DB

Hey Dizzybee,
I wonder if it's a leader/follower thing? Like John, I only want to dance if a track enthuses me - otherwise I don't seem to have the energy to be bothered to think what moves to do that suit.
However, like you, my partner always says she'll dance to anything.

Recent discoveries (heard lots but only recently found out what they're called):

Mighty Dub Catz - Magic Carpet Ride
Angie Stone - Wish I Didn't Miss You
Shapeshifters - Lola's Theme
Spiller Feat. Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)

Hey Dizzybee. I never saw an email from you. I did see that you failed the register anti spambot test though. Smile

I had to install a text confirmation mod to prevent spambots which were attacking the forum. All you have to do is answer a simple random question....I've tried to make them obvious so that any human can answer them....but not a robot! If you want, I can delete your "cannot login" user so you can start again let me know.
