Lots recently about floor fillers and your own personal "if you ruled the world" top tens. Which set me thinking:

What songs do you like, that you've never heard on a dancefloor, would you like to hear/try and , as you rule the world, the DJ would play? It could be any genre, from classical to thrash metal, and a real sitter (most Sinatra, say) to something completely off the wall (like a Tchaikovsky waltz!). I would probably say that they should be sort of jiveable to though

My starter for ten, er, three....

1) Per una Cabeza by the Tango project (The tango tune from the movie Scent of a Woman)
2) On Her Majesty's Secret Service, by the Propellorheads. (Its 9 mins 20 long (!), its really three tracks in one, but its awesome!)
3) Zorba the Greek (Yes, it speeds up!)

Come on, let your imagination go!!!

I've played a cut down (shortened) version of this a couple of times and have been surprised by the positive response

El Tango de Roxanne, from the movie Moulin Rouge. What a piece of music! Just been listening to it. So much GRRRRRRRRR ARGHHHHHHHH! Would want/need premier league partner to dance it though, to do it justice!!!

I've danced to that Jiveonaut - was amazing although the lovely Spicey nearly ended up on the floor exhausted at the end!

Have heard it played several times and yes, you certainly do need the right partner for it! Very Happy

That is a great track, full of light and shade and emotion generating lulls and highs. A track where you can't help but give it your all in the dance. I loved that dance Smile
